Benefiting Children with Multiple Disabilities and Profound Deafness

Be An Angel Fund was created in 1986 by a concerned parent that discovered the overwhelming needs of the multiply handicapped and profoundly deaf students at T.H.Rogers Elementary School. Twenty years later, Be An Angel serves thousands of children in the Houston area providing specialized programs, services and equipment.

Barrier free playground

Be An Angel Fund has constructed 22 barrier free playgrounds in HISD and surrounding school districts, including Montgomery, Humble and Katy ISD, offering safe and reliable recreation to thousands of area children.  These specially designed playgrounds allow handicapped children to play alongside their able-bodied peers. We dedicated Texas’ largest barrier-free playground in August 2006 at Lindsay Lyons Park in Humble, Texas (a $500,000 project).

Volunteer for the Holiday Gift Program

Be An Angel has been supporting our school with donations for the Playground, pool and other activities. They have more than 200 gifts to wrap and deliver to the Rogers MI and PDHH students. The gifts will be at their warehouse 1030 W. Loop North, Houston, TX 77055. They need help to wrap the gifts on Dec 4th and Dec 5th. They are open from 10:00am - 9:00pm.  When you arrive let them know that you are there to wrap T.H. Rogers gifts. Please stay and help with the other schools if possible.
